Applying for ONIGE membership

A quick overview of how the application works, what you'll need on hand, and what membership gives you — then a four-step form, about 10 minutes.

How it works
  1. Tell us who you are and which membership tier you are applying for.
  2. Give a brief work history and education history — you can add as many entries as apply, with supporting documents for each.
  3. Upload your identity document and any other required documents — a national ID card or passport is required; a few others help speed up review.
  4. Review everything and submit. If your tier has an application fee, you will be asked to pay it — automatically by mobile money, or manually against a bank transfer slip.
  5. The secretariat reviews your application and documents; you will be notified by email once a decision is made.

Your progress is saved automatically as you go, so a dropped connection won't lose your work — you'll get a code to continue later, from any device.

What to have ready
  • A national ID card or passport (scan or clear photo, JPG/PNG/PDF).
  • Your work history and education details, with certificates or attestations if you have them on hand.
  • If you are not a Cameroonian national, your residential permit — it will be a required document in step 3.
  • If any qualification was obtained outside Cameroon, its equivalence certificate, if you have already obtained one.
Why join ONIGE
  • Professional recognition and a verifiable matricula and digital membership card.
  • Access to the member directory and the wider community of electrical engineers in Cameroon.
